Panama-Pacific International Exposition glass negatives

Abstract:

Negatives depict events, exhibits, buildings and grounds of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition held in San Francisco in 1915. Especially noteworthy subjects include automobiles and the airplane shows of stunt pilot Art Smith. Other subjects include guns, deep-sea diving equipment, bicycles, attractions in "The Zone", electric vehicles, San Francisco Day (November 2), San Francisco Seals baseball team, a race track, Liberty Bell Day (July 17), a boxing match, the American Automobile Association, the Greek Pavilion, nighttime electrical illumination, Philippine Islands Building, Palace of Fine Arts, and Guatemala Coffee Day (November 20). Some glass plates include multiple panoramic images.
